Excited about being back to in-office work?

A lot of the leaders I work with in my role are. But not everyone shares your enthusiasm.

With social distancing mandates ending, people are returning to the physical office in droves. But there’s an underlying anxiety for those who aren’t enthusiastic about sharing air again.

How can you, as a leader, put their minds at ease?

Assuming you’ve already done everything you can to ensure a healthy workplace environment, here are a few tactical steps that help reduce the anxiety about the return.

💡  Be highly transparent about measures your business has taken to keep employees safe and healthy.

💡  Allow a gradual return so employees can experience “exposure therapy” to being back in the office.

💡  In addition to being communicative and flexible, offer a plan in advance for the return to work. Don’t just spring it on your employees.

The more thoughtful you are about the return-to-the-workplace move, the happier and more successful your employees will be.
