Job interviews range from awkward to uncomfortable to terrifying for most people. But like with most experiences, the more practice you get in advance, the less daunting the interview.
With that in mind, here are some ways you can “practice” for #jobinterviews before you enter the arena:
💡 Networking events give you an opportunity to make your pitch to other professionals and gain practice in talking about yourself and your career
💡 Career fairs, likewise, can provide the structure to help you work out the kinks of your pitch and gauge how others will respond to your language
💡 Download a mock interview tool such as InterviewStream for literal practice answering interview questions (and playing back your answers for feedback)
Maybe you’re new to the professional world, or it’s just been a while since you had to sit through an interview. In my experience as a recruiter, like anything, a little practice never hurts. Give me a shout if you need some role playing!
