Wish you could pay your tax bill with your stash of crypto? Coloradans can.
Colorado is officially the first state to allow citizens to pay their state taxes with either Bitcoin or Etherium. And that’s just the start.
The government has plans to roll out crypto-pay for the rest of state government activities too, like drivers’ licenses and hunting licenses.
State lawmakers also want to begin issuing digital tokens for special projects and public works—an alternative to raising taxes or issuing bonds.
Worried about crypto-volatility? No need. Coins are converted the moment each bill is paid, and the transaction cost is actually lower than a credit card.
I know, it sometimes feels like things are moving so fast (didn’t we just learn about crypto a year or two ago?).
As a recruiter for almost 30 years, I find that progress often leads to opportunity. Ready to try something new (that’s a little more proven than crypto)? Drop me a note or give me a shout!
