You’re looking for a new job, and your profile on LinkedIn is 100% completed. You’re good, right?

On that front, at least.

LinkedIn may be at the center of your hiring efforts these days, but having a well-designed CV or resume could take you on a further digital journey. Luckily, there are plenty of websites that offer a modern alternative to Microsoft Word’s clunky template solution.

Canva, for instance, has plenty of CV templates embedded in its design portfolio, and VisualCV is a tool entirely designed for designing resumes. There are others, too.

Some of these platforms allow you to upload your current resume in text or Word format to use as basic content, then tweak the layout and design.
