You’ve heard of the Great Resignation. Now, let’s talk about the Great Realization.

As Indeed recently reported, “The onset of the global pandemic has offered a slower pace and new lens to reflect on how we might live happier, more fulfilling lives.” For a lot of people, that means a critical lens on their jobs.

In a Workplace Happiness Study Indeed commissioned from Forrester, the company found that people in the workforce have higher expectations in the area of “workplace happiness” than they did just five years ago.

The good news? The great majority — 97% — think it’s POSSIBLE to be happy at work, and that’s at least something.

For a lot of these folks, finding more happiness at work means finding a new job. This is where the “realization” part comes in, and where it does indeed intersect with the Great Resignation.
