If you’re going through a time when people are departing your company en masse, it can be hard to keep morale up. And it’s actually extra important, because research has shown that “social contagion” is a real thing. When one or two influential people opt to leave, often, more follow suit.

In other words, create certainty in your workplace and for your team whenever you can. Ensure them that you’re not going anywhere (assuming that’s true), and be transparent about things like the strategic direction of your organization.
As a recruiter for 25+ years, I have never seen as tumultuous of a time for hiring, and I agree with HBR that good leaders need to be rock solid right now.
