Heads up! There’s a once-in-lifetime capital spending wave coming in.
It’s true, we’re about to see a huge influx of capital spending on physical assets between now and 2027. A $130 trillion investment around the globe to decarbonize and renew infrastructure.
But who’s ready to actually deliver? Supply chain issues and outdated delivery systems are in the way.
McKinsey says the solution is a holistic, CEO-led approach to capital strategies, leveraging data and analytics to improve the process from design to delivery. They suggest:
-Incorporating sustainability as strategy
-Establishing a well-orchestrated ROIC scheme
-Ensuring technical and engineering expertise is represented in the C-Suite
-Creating asset-based ecosystems
-And deploying advanced analytics for better capital planning
Sounds like solid, top-down approach to me.
As a recruiter, I’m excited about what this means for the job market (a lot of new roles and expertise needed!). How about you?
