Importance of Employee Appreciation

You’ve finally got your team assembled, working together productively and making you look real good. 🤚🏻Hold it. Operative phrase/concept – THEY are making YOU look good. So how do you keep this going?

Through the years as a recruiter, I’ve witnessed and heard from financial professionals the impact that 👏 appreciation and edification can have on team morale and productivity. When leaders take the time to recognize their team members’ contributions, it shows that they’re valued and appreciated. This can boost motivation, increase engagement, and improve overall team performance.

In fact, a study by the Harvard Business Review found that employees who feel appreciated are 38% more likely to be engaged in their work. They’re also more likely to stay with their company longer.

So how can you show your team members that you appreciate them? Here are a few ideas:

• Give them specific feedback. Don’t just say “good job.” Tell them what they did well and how their work made a difference. 👍

• Publicly recognize their contributions. This could mean giving them a shout-out in a meeting, writing them a thank-you note, or nominating them for an award. 😊

• Give them opportunities for growth and development. This shows that you’re invested in their success and that you want them to reach their full potential. 🙂

• Be a role model. Show your team members how to appreciate others by being a positive and supportive leader. 💯

Appreciation and edification are essential for building strong teams. When you take the time to show your team members that you value them, you’re investing in their success, your promotability and the success of your company.
